Thank you for being a Plume member! We are grateful that you trust us to take care of you. To support you on your gender journey, we want to ensure that you are getting the most out of your membership! Plume memberships include a robust selection of services, supports, and resources in addition to expert medical care. Here are the keys to making sure you are taking advantage of everything we have to offer:
Sign up for a support group
Your membership includes one four-week series of support groups, guided by a facilitator from our community to help you connect with folks on a similar journey. This is a great way to explore your emotions, learn more about yourself, and connect with your community. To sign up:
Choose a support group that aligns with your needs and goals.
You will receive a follow up email with calendar invitations & Zoom link.
Once you select a start date, you will meet with your support group at the same day and time each week for a total of four sessions.
Learn about the medications available to you
Prescriptions could include hormones (testosterone, estradiol, progesterone), hormone blockers (spironolactone, finasteride, dutasteride), hair loss medications (finasteride/dutasteride), and sexual function support medications (add these meds). Your medical provider will work with you to create a customized treatment plan based on your goals and desires
Get regular blood work
Get your labs done every three months. Your care team will remind you when it’s time to have blood work done. Blood work is done in-person at your local Quest Diagnostics and the cost is included in your membership (except in New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. Monthly membership for these states is $90 to offset the out-of-pocket cost of labs). Learn more about Labs at Plume here.
Use our mail-order pharmacy
Want to switch over to mail delivery when you are due for your next refill? We are here to help! Check out our mail delivery price list to see how we measure up to your current pharmacy! If you want to have your prescription delivered to your door, message your care team and let them know you want to switch to delivery. Your medication should arrive in 3-4 business days. Request letters of support
Request a letter of supporter! As part of your membership you have access to several types of support letters such as for legal name change, gender marker change, medical letter of support for surgery, and emotional support animal letters of support. We’ll have it to you within one week. Learn more about all of our support letter offerings here.
Talk to your care team
Your care team is made up of medical experts who specialize in gender-affirming care. Your team includes care coordinators, registered nurses, and your medical provider who work together to support you. Your Plume provider is also available to discuss your prescription(s), progress, concerns, or lab results. We are more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you have! Message your care team anytime through the Spruce app and we will respond within 1-3 business days.
Need support outside of GAHT?
As you move through your gender journey, you may have concerns that have nothing to do with your gender transition or gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT, sometimes called HRT). While we do our utmost to support you and offer resources, we are only able to offer medical advice. Your Plume provider is able to assess you, give medical guidance, and prescribe medications to matters exclusively pertaining to your gender transition and GAHT. If something else comes up, reach out to your primary care provider or another medical provider to get the help you need.
